Meet Cat Breet
My name is Cat Breet and I am thrilled to have you inside the Get Hired Faster and Easier course.
My 22 Years of Experience
I have spent 22 years figuring out where all the bodies are buried. What are all the broken systems on the hiring side of the desk? And then I have tested and tweaked and built and tested a system to get over 160,000 people more money, freedom, and fun out of work all over the world. And I’m here to tell you that I know where all the bodies are buried. I know all the insider secrets because I spent so many years on the hiring side of the desk as a recruiter, director of recruiting salesperson.
What You Can Achieve
If that is what you want, again, not just a paycheck, but a job that you love going to every day, then you’ve come to the right place. Are you ready? Let’s get started. Let’s talk about the payoff that you’re going to get by going through this course, all right.
Shortest Path to Success
First of all, you’re going to know what all the biggest mistakes are and how to avoid them. You are going instead of spinning your wheels in all the wrong directions. I am going to show you step by step the shortest path between where you are today and that job that you are dreaming of. So, again, shortest path skip the biggest mistakes that job seekers make, but there’s a lot more that’s going to happen in here.
Isolate Your Target
I also want to spend the first week helping you isolate your target. One of the biggest mistakes jobseekers make is that they spin their wheels because they don’t know what’s possible. They don’t know what they’re qualified for. They don’t know where to find it. And I’m going to take you again step by step so that you know exactly what you’re going for, that you are really well qualified for it so that you spend your time hunting in the right ponds for the right fish.
Confidence in Interviews
And by the time you catch up with somebody in your network that can introduce you to a hiring manager and they ask you that question, what are you looking for or why should I hire you, you are going to be able to easily answer those questions with confidence.
Typical Job Seekers
There are so many things that you are going to learn in this course that is going to jump you to the front of the line, knock your competition flat. I don’t want to be mean, but that’s really what it’s about, right? It’s about you being the one that gets the job offer and actually gets multiple job offers. So let’s just talk a little bit about the typical job seeker.
The Average Job Seeker
Did you know that in twenty nineteen, the average job seeker took twenty one point six weeks? That’s over five months to find a job. Ouch. But it’s worse than that. The average job seeker applied for two hundred and eighty jobs and went on fourteen interviews. Ecch, ecch. Awful. Awful. You are not going to go through that to the payoff is it is not going to take you five months, 280 applications and 14 interviews.
Success Stories
I’m going to share a couple of other stories with you. Just because I want you pumped up, I want you excited when I release a new exercise and you think, oh, man, instead of thinking, oh, man, I want you to think, all right, every exercise I do is getting me closer to my dream job.
Faith’s Success
Let me share a couple of my favorite stories with you. First of all, faith, poor faith. She got laid off three times in five years. Some of you can relate to that. So her she is smart, she’s talented.
She’s got a track record of success. And so the first time she got laid off, she said, oh, heck, I can do this. I know how to sell. So she jumped out on her own looking for work. And her first time, it took her six painful months. Well, she got a job and then about a year later, she got laid off again and she said, well, heck, I just did this a year ago.
I know how to get a job. I’m going to do this. And she went out there on her own and the second job search took her seven months. Poor thing. Got laid off a third time, about a year and a half later. And this time she said, I cannot afford to be unemployed for six months or seven months. Again, clearly, I don’t know what I’m doing. So she purchased our course and followed it step by step.
And that third time she found a fantastic new job in just three and a half weeks. That is what I’m going to do for you. That is the power of getting clear about what you’re looking for and all the insider secrets that I’m sharing with you.
Paul’s Success
Let’s take another look at his testimonial here. He only had to go on 12 interviews, which means he got one job offer out of just six interviews. And remember, I said to you, the average job seeker has to go on 14 to get an offer. So he did all that and just two and a half weeks. I’m telling you, I’ve got lots of other success stories of people who went on even fewer interviews than he did to have success. But that’s a fun one.
Melissa’s Success
Melissa came to me right after covid hit the planet and the shutdown was still in effect. And she had been looking for work for three months. She’d been on 40. She had applied for 46 different jobs and hadn’t had any luck.
She followed my plan step by step, and three weeks later, she landed her dream job at a great company in the middle of a global pandemic, economic upheaval and a shutdown. So I hope the stories that I share throughout the course for the next six weeks are going to inspire you. It’s people from all walks of life. They are like you. They are good, good hearted people. They are hardworking, they’re smart, they’re talented.
They’ve just never been trained on how to go look for a job the right way. And they don’t know where all the bodies are buried. And I do. So I hope you’re pumped up because I’m about to tell you what I’m going to teach you over the next six weeks.
Program Outline
Let me share the program outline with you and I’ll take you through it step by step.
Week 1: Isolating Your Target
Week one is all about isolating your target, the thing of it is most job seekers jump in at the deep end by writing their resume and they have no idea why they’re getting rejected over and over and over. And it’s because they didn’t set their stage for success. They didn’t understand what companies are looking for, how to find the jobs, and they didn’t take time to isolate that job target.
Week 2: Telling Your Best Story
Week two is all about telling your best story. If you’ve been doing this for any amount of time, you’ve already gotten questions like, what are you looking for? Tell me about yourself. Why do you want this job? And if you can’t answer those questions in ten seconds flat, you’re going to have a problem. What about stuffing all of your experience and your skills into a resume, a small short resume or your LinkedIn profile?
These things are difficult to do on your own. That’s why I’m here. I’ve got tried and true simple exercises to draw out your best story, your successes, your achievements, your key skills. And then I’m going to teach you how to put those in a resume, a cover letter, LinkedIn profile and how to talk to people about it will actually create your bumper sticker so that you can answer that question.
Week 3: Finding the Jobs
Week three is all about finding the jobs. 80 percent of them are hidden. What? Yeah. Eighty percent of them are never posted online. And I need to teach you how to find those. I need to teach you how to apply online without getting rejected. I need to teach you how to work with recruiters.
Oh, my gosh. You know, necessary evil. You can’t avoid it. I was a recruiter for many years. I know how frustrating it can be. And I’m going to help you understand the different kinds of recruiters, what they really need and want from you and how to get past them as quickly as humanly possible. In fact, I’m going to teach you how to even just jump past the online apps and the recruiters to get straight to the hiring managers.
And that is where the magic is in week three, where I teach you how to connect directly with the decision makers, the hiring managers, and blow past those online apps and the recruiters. You going to boost your chances of getting a job by 40 percent. And if you get in at the director level or above, you can boost your chances by ninety two percent. It’s incredible. I know exactly how to do it and I’m going to show you step by step.
Week 4: Interviews
Week for interviews. Boy, have times changed. You know, it’s no longer answering the phone and then going in, in person right away. You have got to get past the video interview and if you don’t know what you’re doing, it can be an absolute disaster. Relax, I’ve been on camera in my business for ten years.
I’ve been teaching people how to get through video interviews for ten years. They’ve actually been around a long time. They’re not new. What’s new is that everybody has been forced to use them once the pandemic hit, once the coronavirus pandemic hit. So video interviewing really important. I’m also going to teach you the teach you lighting camera, audio space.
I’m also going to teach you how to prepare for video interviews, phone in person interviews, how to show up and how to follow up. And I can’t remember the statistic, but it’s like 86 percent of companies will not hire you if you don’t follow up after an interview. So follow up is really important. And I spoon feed you exactly how to do all of this stuff and I even spoon feed you scripts, literally what to say when you’re following up.
Week 5: Money Negotiation
Week five. Money, money, money. Ching ching ching. Let’s talk about money. I’m going to teach you how to go out there and quickly figure out how much you can ask for. What is the top dollar that you can get? I’m going to teach you how to when and how to talk about how to answer those really hard questions. Like how much money do you want to make? Say what I.
To teach you how to answer those questions for those of you that are considering contract in hourly positions for the very first time, I’m going to teach you how to price yourself properly so that you don’t wake up at the end of the year with way less money unable to pay your taxes. It’s really important that you understand how much you should be charging on a W2 hourly or ten ninety nine basis. So we can talk about that.
I’m going to literally give you my best negotiation prep sheet that’s going to help you figure out how much you want, what are their motivators, what are your motivators, so that when you go into that conversation to ask for a better offer, you have the competitive advantage. Mm hmm. I seriously give you scripts, talking points and help you lay out your your negotiation plan and then give you a scorecard so that you can compare one opportunity against another.
Week 6: Breaking Through the Barriers
Week six is all about breaking through the barriers. Where are you stuck? Is it age discrimination, race, religion? Is it that ugly stuff or are you having trouble getting feedback from companies? There are two reasons companies stall. We’re going to talk about what those are. And if you are are still having trouble with confidence and fear and rejection. Week six, we’re going to talk through all that stuff so that when you wrap up this course and you move on on your own, you are feeling confident and clear and you know what to do step by step.
But most of you at this point are going to be already entertaining offers. If you’re following my plan and you’re doing it step by step, you are seriously going to be getting job interviews and job offers. It’s very exciting. And I cannot wait to go through this journey with you.
