Who are the guardians of your galaxy? Find your champions Vol. 1

In 2014, my boys were 9 and 11. They could not WAIT to see Guardians of the Galaxy. So, on 5-buck Tuesday, we played hooky from work and school, and off we went to a matinee. Yes, the special effects were terrific. The soundtrack (Awesome Mix Vol.1 on Peter Quill’s mixed tape) was so good, my 17-year old STILL cranks it up … and even learned a few of the songs on guitar.
But the real story … the story that sits with me 6 years later … is the story of the friends who fell apart, then fell together again. Yes, the guardians’ quest was to defeat Dark Aster, but their biggest quest of all was to save each other.

Life is a marathon. Yes, we need coaches to tell us how to run. But more than that, we need the fans on the sidelines running along with us shouting “You’ve got this!” 2020 is a marathon. Who are your coaches, and who are your fans?
