WHAT DO I TELL THE KIDS?
Layoffs & money concerns are a family affair. Let’s talk about how to handle it.
As though losing your job isn’t hard enough, going home to tell the family can be even tougher. Ali Fischer had this very conversation with herself just as COVID-19 was rearing its ugly head. And then she had the conversation with LinkedIn. She opened with “I tried not to cry. But how do you tell your kids you have lost your job without getting a little emotional?” What a gift! A week later 7,755 people had liked her post. 642 people had risen up to meet her & left heartfelt messages of encouragement. Many of them said “Thank you for sharing. Your courage to share has given me the courage to talk about this, too.” I was so moved by her post, I immediately reached out and asked her to come onto my Daily Live Show to talk about it. Lucky us, she said “YES!”
