Dare to Defend & Listen to Your Inner Whisper
For most people, a “bad day at work” might be a heated dispute with a coworker or boss. For Sandra Guevara, it was much, much worse: she was falsely accused (by a coworker!) of participating in a failed coup attempt against her country’s President … and received threats because of it.
As a career diplomat, she was living abroad with her husband and small son. Overnight, they were ripped from the safety and security of their life in Belgium and sent back to Venezuela. Sandra had two choices: sit back and quietly wait to see what would happen, or dare to stand up, ask for an investigation and try to clear her professional reputation. If things went well, she might be able to resume a career and life she absolutely loved. If they went badly, she might wind up severely prosecuted and/or punished.
Sandra decided to stand up, and that made the difference.
Daring to tap into her inner wisdom has been the best way for her to make really tough decisions, and then to be at peace with her decisions. Because of that courage, life has unfolded beautifully for her … and opened up doors she would have never imagined possible.
